Perks and Allowances

PNB PO is a managerial level post in bank. He is a Junior Manager of Grade I scale officer. Some of the perks and allowances enjoyed by the probationer officer are as follow.

Perks & Allowances

Medical Aid

• It is provided @50% of Basic Pay of previous year’s December month or a minimum of 8000/- p.a.
• Medical aid is reimbursed on the basis of declaration.

Purchase of stationary items

• Bank provides for Purchase of stationary items like Fountain pens, ball pens, refills etc.
• Bank provide Rs 350 p.a. for this.

Newspaper Expense

• Bank provide Rs 200/- p.m. for Scale I officer. These allowances increase with increase in Scale of the officer.
• The amount is reimbursed on quarterly basis.

Entertainment Expense

• Bank provides entertainment allowance of Rs 8600 annually.

Cleansing Material Expenses

• Bank provides Rs1000/- quarterly for cleaning expanses.

Leased Accommodation

• The leased accommodation for a Scale I employee is as provided
• Major A Class Cities
• Mumbai & Delhi: 20,000/-
• Other Major A Class cities: 17,500/-
• State Capitals & Area I: 16,000/-
• Area II: 10,000/-
• Area III: 7,500/-
• Major A Class cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Pune, Surat
• Area I: State Capitals and area with population of more than 12 lakh
• Area II: Areas with population of 1 lakh & more but less than 12 lakh.
• Area III: All other areas not included in Area I and Area II.
• Where an employee owns a house in his own name, spouse or in the name of dependent child, he will not be allowed Bank’s flat/lease accommodation at that centre.

Travel Allowance

• Scale I officer are allowed for 40 litres of petrol allowances p.m. if they own a two-wheeler vehicle.
• If the officer does not own a vehicle they are provided consolidated amount of  Rs 750/- p.m.

Telephone and Internet Allowances

• Scale I officer are allowed for allowances of Rs 700/- p.m. for telephone and internet expanses.

SFF Allowances (Furniture Allowances)

• A Scale I officer is eligible for 1,75,000/- of SFF allowances.
• These allowances are available only after the completion of On the Job Training (OJT).
• There is no restriction regarding number of items or cost per unit, excepting in for mattresses, curtains & battery, where maximum limits are as under
• Mattresses: upto 40,000/-
• Curtains: upto 20,000/-
• Battery: upto 9,000/-

Interest Free Festival Advance to Bank employees

• A scale I officer is allowed upto Rs 35,000 as interest free festival advance.
• This amount is to be repaid in 10 equal monthly installments.
• It is given only once in a year.

Holiday Home

• Stay at holiday home is allowed to bank employees and their families.
• The charge for stay at holiday homes is Rs 50/per day.
• It can be booked for a maximum 2 weeks.
